Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel, the law's sponsor, advocates taking pharmaceuticals, which are arguably far worse than any food dye. In fact, his proposed ban leaves out an equally toxic substance – Red No. 40. This begs the question - are we still living in a culture of BDSM?
