It appears there are many people who are welcoming the end of the world and have the idea that surrender is the only thing they have left, with no other options. Reality and truth are moving beyond their grasp as technological forces that they voluntarily embrace push everyday life towards some spectral denouement. Those who claim to embrace the eschaton have no understanding of what even decimation (one-tenth loss) of humanity would cost them.
